Visual Diagnosis of the Varroa Destructor Parasitic Mite in Honeybees Using Object Detector Techniques

چکیده

The Varroa destructor mite is one of the most dangerous Honey Bee (Apis mellifera) parasites worldwide and bee colonies have to be regularly monitored in order control its spread. In this paper we present an object detector based method for health state monitoring colonies. This has potential online measurement processing. our experiment, compare YOLO SSD detectors along with Deep SVDD anomaly detector. Based on custom dataset 600 ground-truth images healthy infected bees various scenes, reached highest F1 score up 0.874 detection 0.714 itself. results demonstrate approach, which will later used real-time computer vision honey inspection system. To best knowledge, study first using a bee. We expect that performance those enable us inspect status real time.

Ligand selectivity in tachykinin and natalisin neuropeptidergic systems of the honey bee parasitic mite Varroa destructor

The varroa mite, Varroa destructor, is a devastating ectoparasite of the honey bees Apis mellifera and A. cerana. Control of these mites in beehives is a challenge in part due to the lack of toxic agents that are specific to mites and not to the host honey bee. In searching for a specific toxic target of varroa mites, we investigated two closely related neuropeptidergic systems, tachykinin-rela...

Comparative proteomic analysis reveals mite (Varroa destructor) resistance-related proteins in Eastern honeybees (Apis cerana).

The mite (Varroa destructor) has become the greatest threat to apiculture worldwide. As the original host of the mite, Apis cerana can effectively resist the mite. An increased understanding of the resistance mechanisms of Eastern honeybees against V. destructor may help researchers to protect other species against these parasites. In this study, the proteomes of 4 Apis cerana colonies were ana...

Potential of Destruxins from Metarrhizium Anisopliae for the Control of the Honeybee Parasitic Mite Varroa Destructor

Introduction Varroa destructor Anderson & Trueman (2000) is an ectoparasitic mite which causes severe damage to Apis mellifera populations worldwide. Adult females of V. destructor feed directly on the haemolymph of honey bee pupae and can activate and transmit honeybee viruses. Infestation causes an increased prevalence of bee diseases and colony mortality, resulting in decline of honey produc...

The parasitic mite Varroa destructor aVects non-associative learning in honey bee foragers, Apis mellifera L

The parasitic mite Varroa destructor inXuences Xight behavior, orientation and returning success of forager honeybees (Apis mellifera) infested as adults. As impaired orientation toward the nest entrance might be due to deWciency in recognition and responsiveness to stimuli in the environment, we examined eVects of V. destructor on sensory responsiveness, nonassociative and associative learning...

Molecular characterization of an arachnid sodium channel gene from the varroa mite (Varroa destructor).

Voltage-gated sodium channels are essential for the generation and propagation of action potentials in most excitable cells. They are the target sites of several classes of insecticides and acaricides. Isolation of full-length sodium channel cDNA is a critical and often difficult step toward an understanding of insecticide and acaricide resistance. We previously cloned and sequenced two overlap...
